It can have long sleeves or be sleeveless. The Jacket yoke is black and the body is the Dept. color. Cadet or DS9: all black jumpsuit or 2 piece with yoke in the department color.

5. Any new Starfleet Uniform variations, including SFMC.

6. No UNMODIFIED real-life military ribbons or insignia may be worn on a Starfleet or SFMC uniform.

Examples of Starfleet uniforms from the classic series and the movies and other articles of clothing may be found in the references listed at the end of this manual. Because of the many species of intelligent beings in Starfleet, drastic changes must be made in the uniform style to fit the body shape. A Horta, for example, wears just a rank pin on a small patch of fabric in its department color. A Klingon might wear a metallic sash across the body over the uniform. a Bajoran might wear a ceremonial earring. Research your character and find an accessory to add to the uniform. You might also enjoy making up your character's civilian or home world's military costume to wear during special appearances by the crew.

HISTORY OF THE U.S.S. SOL

The first USS Sol was a Constitutional Class starship. With an all-Alaskan crew trained in arctic biology, engineering, medicine, and defense, she set forth to explore the northern regions of known space. At the end of her second five-year mission, she was dry-docked at the McKinley Shipyards, where she was refitted and upgraded to an Enterprise Class starship. Outfitted with the most advanced space laboratory and equipment, she resumed her northern explorations.

In 2221 she encountered a time rift near Polaris and entered it to record its unique effects on time and space. The rift was unstable, however, and the Sol and her crew ended up in the 24th Century.

Starfleet was pleased to have a pristine ship so completely outfitted for her mission and with a seasoned crew and allowed her to continue her mission. Many of the original crew have transferred to explore the many opportunities in the 24th Century and so the Sol continues with people from previously unknown planets. Klingons, Sheons, Betazoids, Cardassians, and Romulans have joined Terrans, Vulcans, and Alpha Centaurans on this ship from the last frontier to meet the challenges of the final frontier.
